My Story

My journey as a Spanish teacher began with a deep passion for language, communication, and education. I hold a B.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, with a major in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching, which shaped my understanding of how people truly learn languages. I am currently pursuing a double master’s degree in Educational Innovation, with a focus on Language Teaching, as well as Educational Diversity and Inclusion. Through years of teaching experience, I discovered that learning Spanish is not just about memorization, but about building confidence and real connection. Today, I combine strong academic foundations with a human, one-on-one approach to help students communicate naturally and meaningfully, wherever they are in the world.

Teaching Philosophy and Values

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that learning Spanish should be clear, human, and meaningful. Language is not a list of rules to memorize, nor a performance to perfect—it is a tool for connection, expression, and understanding. My role as a teacher is to guide you through that process with structure, intention, and respect for your individual learning journey.

I teach Spanish as a living system, where grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and culture work together. Everything we study has a purpose: to help you communicate more naturally and confidently in real situations. I avoid shortcuts and random methods, focusing instead on solid foundations that support long-term progress.

Communication comes first, but never without clarity. I believe in explaining the “why” behind the language, because understanding builds confidence. At the same time, I create a safe space where making mistakes is not only accepted, but necessary. Errors are not failures—they are information.

Every student is different. That’s why my lessons are one-on-one and fully personalized, adapting to your goals, rhythm, and interests while maintaining a professional structure and clear progression.

I also believe deeply in professional teaching. Speaking Spanish is not the same as teaching Spanish. My philosophy is rooted in training, pedagogy, and respect for the learning process. Your time, effort, and commitment deserve guidance from a qualified professional.

Ultimately, my teaching philosophy is simple: to help you build real Spanish, real confidence, and real communication—with clarity, consistency, and purpose.

Values

Everything I do as a teacher is guided by a set of clear values. These values shape how I teach, how I communicate, and how I support each student throughout their learning journey.

Professionalism

I believe that language learning deserves qualified guidance. Teaching Spanish is a profession, not a hobby. My work is grounded in training, experience, and respect for the learning process and for each student’s time and commitment.

Clarity

Learning should never feel confusing or chaotic. I value clear explanations, logical progression, and purposeful lessons. When students understand why something works, confidence grows naturally.

Real Communication

Spanish is meant to be used, not memorized. I value communication that is natural, functional, and connected to real life. Every lesson is designed to help you express yourself more clearly and authentically.

Respect for the Learner

Every student brings a unique background, rhythm, and goal. I value personalization, patience, and a safe learning environment where mistakes are part of progress—not something to fear.

Consistency and Honesty

There are no shortcuts to meaningful learning. I value steady progress, realistic expectations, and honest guidance. Growth comes from consistency, not from promises of instant results.

Autonomy

I respect that learning a language is a personal decision. You choose your pace, your goals, and how long you want to continue. My role is to guide and support—not to pressure.

These values ensure that learning Spanish is a serious, respectful, and empowering experience, built on trust, professionalism, and real results.

Levels and Learning Path

Learning Spanish is a process, not a race. That’s why my programs follow a clear learning path, organized by levels, while remaining flexible and fully personalized. Structure provides direction; personalization ensures that the process fits you.

The learning path is aligned with internationally recognized levels (from Beginner to Advanced), but the focus is always on what you can actually do with the language, not just what you know about it.

Beginner (A1–A2)

At this stage, you build strong foundations. You learn how Spanish works, how it sounds, and how to communicate in simple, real-life situations. The focus is on basic interaction, pronunciation, essential grammar, and everyday vocabulary—always connected to practical use.

Intermediate (B1–B2)

Here, communication becomes more fluid and precise. You expand your ability to express ideas, opinions, and experiences while refining grammar and improving accuracy. Lessons focus on natural sentence building, listening comprehension, and confidence in spontaneous conversation.

Advanced (C1 and beyond)

At advanced levels, the goal is depth and nuance. You work on complex structures, style, register, and cultural context. The focus is on speaking with clarity, flexibility, and naturalness in professional, social, and academic settings.

Throughout all levels, progress is guided but flexible. You move forward when you are ready—not because a calendar says so. There are no fixed deadlines or artificial pressure. You decide how far you want to go and when to stop, knowing that language learning is an ongoing journey.

This learning path ensures continuity, clarity, and real progress, while respecting your pace, your goals, and your reasons for learning Spanish.

What Do Your Lessons Include?

Each lesson is carefully designed to help you develop real communication skills in Spanish, with clarity, structure, and purpose. This is not a generic method or a one-size-fits-all program—it is a personalized learning experience guided by a certified professional.

Your lessons include one-on-one live sessions focused on speaking and listening from day one. You’ll work with real-life situations that reflect how Spanish is actually used, allowing you to build confidence and fluency naturally.

You’ll receive clear explanations of grammar and structure, always connected to practical use. Grammar is not taught as isolated rules, but as a tool to help you express ideas accurately and confidently.

Lessons also include guided pronunciation and intonation work, helping you sound natural and be understood without tension or fear of speaking.

You’ll get real-time correction and professional feedback, adapted to your level and learning style. Corrections are thoughtful and constructive, designed to support progress rather than interrupt communication.

To reinforce learning, your lessons may include selected practice activities and learning tools for use outside class. These are optional, purposeful, and aligned with what we work on together—never busywork.

Finally, each lesson follows a clear progression, while remaining flexible to your goals, rhythm, and interests. You always know why you are learning something and how it helps you communicate better.

In short, your lessons include structure, personalization, and real Spanish for real life—guided by a professional who takes your learning seriously.

What Makes My Lessons Different?

My lessons are designed for people who want real Spanish, taught with intention, structure, and professionalism. They go beyond casual conversation and generic methods, focusing instead on meaningful progress and lasting results.

First, every lesson is 100% one-on-one. This means your time is never divided, and the content is always adapted to your level, goals, and learning style. You receive constant guidance, personalized explanations, and real feedback from start to finish.

Second, you learn with a certified Spanish teacher, not just a fluent speaker. My training in language teaching allows me to explain Spanish clearly, anticipate difficulties, and correct errors before they become habits. This professional foundation makes learning more efficient and far less frustrating.

My lessons also combine structure and flexibility. There is a clear learning path and progression, but lessons remain dynamic and responsive to your interests, needs, and real-life situations. You always know what you are learning and why it matters.

Another key difference is the focus on natural communication with accuracy. You are encouraged to speak from the very beginning, while receiving thoughtful correction that helps you sound clear and confident—without interrupting your flow or increasing anxiety.

Finally, I teach Spanish as it is actually used, with attention to pronunciation, register, and cultural context. No random phrases, no artificial dialogues, and no empty promises of “fluency” in record time—just honest, professional guidance.

What makes my lessons different is simple:

they are intentional, personalized, and professionally taught, with one clear goal—helping you communicate in Spanish with confidence and authenticity.

Teacher in Classroom

Choosing the Right Spanish Teacher

Learning Spanish is not just about learning words—it’s about understanding how the language works, how it sounds in real life, and how it adapts to different social and cultural contexts. That’s why choosing the right Spanish teacher matters.

A real Spanish professional is more than a fluent speaker. A certified and trained teacher understands linguistics, pedagogy, and second-language acquisition. They know why Spanish works the way it does, how to explain it clearly, and how to guide you step by step without confusion or shortcuts that later create frustration.

Working with a professional teacher means learning accurate pronunciation, natural structures, and authentic usage from the very beginning. It means receiving corrections that actually help you improve, personalized explanations adapted to your learning style, and a clear progression designed to build long-term confidence—not temporary memorization.

Unqualified “teachers” may speak Spanish, but speaking a language is not the same as teaching it. Without proper training, lessons often lack structure, consistency, and linguistic depth. This can lead to fossilized errors, insecurity when speaking, and the feeling of “knowing Spanish” but not being able to use it naturally.

A professional Spanish teacher respects your time, your goals, and your learning process. They create a safe, supportive environment where mistakes are part of progress, communication is central, and every lesson has a purpose.

Choosing a qualified Spanish teacher is an investment in real communication, lasting results, and genuine confidence. If you want to speak Spanish clearly, naturally, and correctly, the right teacher makes all the difference.

This balance allows learners to experience real Mexican Spanish in a clear, accessible, and meaningful way.

Being raised in Puerto Vallarta has deeply shaped the way I teach. I understand Spanish not only as a language, but as a cultural system—how people speak, express emotions, show respect, and connect with one another. This cultural awareness is naturally integrated into my lessons, helping students communicate more naturally and appropriately.

For students who study in Puerto Vallarta, learning Spanish here means practicing the language in real-life situations every day. For online students, it means learning from a teacher whose Spanish is rooted in authentic use, cultural context, and lived experience.
